Bandit is the sire to our upcoming spring 2025 litter Bandit x Willow. Bandit is owned and loved by Kyle Henry and was bred by Ellen Schwab of AE’s ACDs and Mandy Liesch of Clarjo Farms. He was the pick puppy for herding instinct and my personal personality pick from the 2023 Cordell x Fiddle litter. Bandit spends his time helping his owners on a working cattle/dairy farm. He has the best combination of his sire and dam’s personality. He also has lovely feet, nice movement and balanced angles. We are excited to incorporate him into our budding program.

In a nutshell…
Bandit was the herding and performance pick of his litter. He lives in Pennsylvaina with his owner helping him move, load and unload dairy cows. He is a quiet and independent worker with a low quick bite. He is more comfortable at the heel than the head and is all business. Bandit has an excellent off switch, and is very even keeled. He also has a good sense of self preservation. He is a happy go lucky boy who wants to please his person and is happy to do it for a treat or a pat. He comes from a long lineage of working cattle dogs on both ends of the pedigree and has siblings and half siblings excelling in conformation, herding, agility, obedience and scentwork. I have found bandit to be easy to work with, very forgiving, and keen and quiet on stock. He is tight on the sheep right now but he is not used to working them. I think he will infuse some quieter and more measured bites into Willow’s offspring and add a bit of steadiness in the work.

Pros: Moderate eye. Responsive to the handler. Natural sense of balance and group. Flanky and natural to fetch, easy to get distance on. Is a grounded and intentional worker with a silent quick low bite. Bites when needed, is not excessive and is not prone to gripping even when pressure is high.
Cons: Strong preference for heel over head. Can have trouble holding pressure when challenged at the head and prefers to get around to heel. Strong preference for the come by side. -
